What is GOGYNAX?
GOGYNAX is a broad-spectrum imidazole anti-fungal, antimycotic & trichomonacide agent.

Each GOGYNAX tube contains Clotrimazole USP 2% w/w.
How does GOGYNAX work?
GOGYNAX interferes with ergosterol synthesis & therefore alters the permiability of cell membranes of susceptible fungi. When applied topically GOGYNAX penetrates the epidermis.
What is GOGYNAX for?
GOGYNAX cream topically indicated for the treatment of i) Ringworm (tinea) infections, ii) Athlete’s foot, iii) Paronchia, iv) Pityriasis versicolor, vi) Erythrasma, vii) Intertrigo, viii) Fungal nappy rash, ix) Candida vulvitis x) Candida balanitis.
For whom is GOGYNAX not suitable?
GOGYNAX is not suitable to those who have shown hypersensitivity to clotrimazole.
What is the dosage of GOGYNAX?
GOGYNAX cream (for topical application): Gently massage sufficient cream on the affected and surrounding skin areas twice a day, in the morning and evening for 2 weeks.
GOGYNAX cream (for vaginal application): Use once daily for 6 days. To prevent reinfection, the sexual partner should be treated locally with GOGYNAX cream.
What are the possible side effects of GOGYNAX?
Some of the rarely observed side effects with the use of GOGYNAX are burning sensation and local irritation of the skin.
What are the adverse reactions of GOGYNAX?
Following adverse reactions are observed with the use of GOGYNAX: vomiting, vaginal soreness with coitus in another, vaginal irritation, itching and dyspareunia, clitoral irritation dysuria, vulval irritation, lower abdominal cramps and bloating, slight cramping, slight urinary frequency, and burning or irritation in the sexual partner.

Absorption – (vaginally & topically) 3 to 10 % of vaginal dose &
0.5 % of topical dose.

Is GOGYNAX safe in pregnancy?
Use of vaginally applied GOGYNAX in pregnant women in their second and third trimesters has not been associated with ill effects. There are, however, no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women during the first trimester of pregnancy. GOGYNAX should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
Is GOGYNAX safe for nursing mothers?
GOGYNAX is safe in nursing mothers. GOGYNAX when applied topically and externally, it does not excrete in human milk.
Which other drugs will interact with GOGYNAX?
Antagonism between GOGYNAX and polyene antibiotics.
