Low out gassing for ultra high vacuum application is achieved with all fusion type TIG welding type 304 S.S.Body constructions.
Standard features include welded bellows steam sealed with additional convolutions for extended life interior and exterior. Electro polish finish and metal OR O ring bonnet seals.
All of the valves employ Viton ?O?Ring to seal the poppets, valves for high vacuum service have viton O-ring sealed bonnets while valves for ultra-high vacuum application have metal sealed bonnet.


Technique :
In the conventional method, the TEE is fabricated by welding a branch to the main pipe on the profile made on its surface. The welding is a weak point in that the joint cannot be completely checked using X-ray & other method. Thus, ensuring the quality and reliability of the weld against leaks in high pressure and Ultra High Vacuum applications is rather difficult and hence the conventional method poses limitations for such application. Further the job becomes more and more difficult to fabricate if the TEE is to be made with number of branches and access to welding all the pieces is a problem. With the new technique, however, one can make TEE upto SIX Branches that ensures leak proof joints. The BUTT, JOINT PROVIDES 100% CREVICE FREE WELDING JOINTS. The area in which these fittings are favourably used include pipe lines for chemical process industries, Pharmaceutical and food Industries etc., where extreme cleanliness on the root side of the weld is an essential requirement due to functional reason.

The reliable sealing performance of Conflact flanges is a result of the design and geometry which "Captures" the gasket material. When the conical sealing knife edge of the flange is pressed in to the flat OFHC copper gasket, a lateral cold flow of the gasket material occurs. This cold flow is limited by the vertical flange wall.
Further material flow away from the seal area is severely limited and high interface pressures are developed. These pressures cause gasket material to fill surface imperfections and produce a highly reliable seal. At high temperatures, the "Capturing" Geometry maintains high pressures despite softening of the gasket.
