Sea Air Forwarders International Limited was incorporated on 2nd May 1978. The company was established by the Late Mr. C.G.A. Drew and Mr. S. P. Molu. SAFI has an exclusive agency agreement in Rwanda with Rwandex who are also the largest exporters of Rwanda coffee. Our first consignment of cargo was Rwanda Coffee, which arrived by air on 19/6/78, and thereafter transportation of Rwanda Coffee was done via Air and Road from Jan 1979. Since the Civil War in Rwanda, in the early 90's, Coffee now arrives by road and rail. Our first export shipment of Bulk coffee was successfully loaded in October 1996. At present we have the capability to load two FCL's of coffee within the span of an hour. Each year, SAFI also clears a vast selection of goods ranging from small perishables, such as biscuits, to large items such as trucks nd Luxury-Yachts. SAFI is a majority shareholder in SAFI UGANDA. SAFI Uganda is a relatively new company established in January 1995 through which we presently trade, clear and forward in the region of 15, 000 tons of Ugandan Coffee annually. We are proud to have joined Worldnet Associates as of January 2003 and gained acceptance as an individual member of FIATA as of April 2003. SAFI'S EDGE! Close acquaintances with KPA, various shipping agents, local and regional transporters and C&F agents in Uganda and Rwanda. Experienced, efficient and friendly staff.
