Topcon Corporation, who has been expanding its business field globally in both Positioning and Ophthalmic/Medical Businesses, today announced that the reorganization of its sales subsidiary in European market effective July 1, 2005, in order to make another stride toward future. The reorganization is intended to improve its sales force in the market for both divisions. The existing Topcon Europe B.V. Is going to be divided into separate companies of each divisional organization in accordance with the organization of its head quarter in Tokyo, Japan. Its distribution network will be restructured as well. With these changes, Topcon is enhancing a speedy management under clearer responsibility in each business unit. The current Topcon Europe B.V. Will remain as a holding company and be in charge of administration and finance. Under the new holding company, Topcon Europe Positioning B.V and Topcon Europe Medical B.V are newly established as sales subsidiaries for Positioning Business and Ophthalmic/ Medical Business respectively. The launch of these new separated sales companies, Topcon Europe Positioning B.V. And Topcon Europe Medical B.V., is expected to bring great advantages to the both new companies, such as centralized business management, clearer corporate and business policies and strategies, effective use of technologies and resources by means of choice and focus, and reinforcing consolidated value-chain.
