Stamping

Stamping is through a large high-speed stamping machine, so that the electronic connector (pin) from a thin metal strip stamping. One end of the large roll of metal belt is sent to the front end of the stamping machine, and the other end passes through the hydraulic table of the stamping machine and winds into the rolling belt wheel, which pulls out the metal belt and rolls out the finished product terminal.


Plating

Connector pins should be sent to the electroplating stage upon completion of stamping. In the electroplating stage, the electronic contact surface of the connector will be plated with various metal coatings, such as nickel plating, tin plating and semi-gold plating, so as to prevent oxidation and enhance electrical conductivity. There will also be distortion, fragmentation or deformation in the process of rammed pins feeding into electroplating equipment. These quality defects are easily detected by the above techniques.

Molding
Injection molding refers to that the plastic box holder of the electronic connector is made by injecting molten plastic into the metal film and then rapidly cooling to form. It is also necessary to check whether "leakage" occurs when the molten plastic fails to fully fill the film. Short Shots, a typical defect for injection molding. Other defects include the filling or partial plugging of connectors, which must be kept clean and unobstructed for proper insertion of pins during final assembly.

Assembly

The final stage of electronic connector manufacturing is final assembly. There are two ways to assemble the electroplated insert needle and the injection box seat: the first is to insert the needle separately, which means to insert a needle each time. The second method is combined pair insertion. It means to connect multiple pins to the box base at the same time. No matter which connection and insertion method is adopted for assembly, make sure that all the pins can not appear any leakage and positioning must be correct.
